Rally: When trying to switch between two accounts, I keep getting logged into the same account

Issue/Introduction

When wishing to switch between a personal account and a service account, Rally keeps logging into the personal account.

Cause

User is closing the browser tab instead of logging out of Rally using the Sign Out option.  This causes the session to remain cached and not to be cleared out.

Resolution

When switching between two Rally accounts, it is critical that the user use the Sign Out option to end the current session.  Closing the tab, closing the browser, putting the laptop to sleep and even rebooting will not end the current session. 

 

It is also important to Sign Out of Rally in order to load a new cache.  This can include new Rally fixes, updates to fields made by your local admins, etc.  

You can use Incognito mode or different Chrome Profiles to login to multiple accounts.
