mon_config_service (MCS) probe fails to start after upgrade to DX UIM 23.4

Issue/Introduction

After the upgrade to DX UIM 23.4 the mon_config_service (MCS) probe fails to start.

Looking at the probe log the following is observed:

Environment

DX UIM 23.4.*

 

Cause

CFG corruption. missing section. 

Resolution

Verify the integrity of the mon_config_service.cfg. it might be missing sections, in particular missing the Java startup info. 

1) Deactivate the probe and then redeploy the same version of the probe on top of the existing one

2) Increase the out-of-the-box memory allocation or restore the previous setting to ensure enough memory is allocated.
