Issue/Introduction

Upon Windows startup user was getting below error message.

Windows error: Cytray.exe - Bad Image: C:\Program Files\Manufacturer\Endpoint Agent\printm64 is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator.

Environment

DLP 15.8 + With Palo Alto Cortex version 8.3 onwards.

Cause

Above error is seen with Cortex version 8.3 onwards due to a new feature introduced. 

Resolution

The problem extends beyond just the Symantec DLP agent; Cortex has also flagged several other applications. Palo Alto has acknowledged the issue and, according to the latest customer update, is working on a resolution.
