An agent does not start after a manual upgrade: U00029407 Public key mismatch in CSR request from Agent

Issue/Introduction

An agent does not start after  a manual upgrade of an agent. The error message below is present in the agent's log:

U02000376 Could not parse certificate './security../agent.pem'. Please make sure that the certificate is in PEM format.
U02000004 Connection to Server 'AWA#CP003' successfully created.
U02000297 Agent doesn't have valid certificate, requesting new one from server.
U02000401 Received JCP server list: 'https://<AEServer>:<portnumber>/
U00029407 Public key mismatch in CSR request from Agent: "AGENTNAME"'
U02003073 Agent Prozess 'AGENT,PID=29098268' shutdown has been initiated

Environment

CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine: Agent v21.x

Cause

The agent's certificates were not copied from the previous version to the new version.

Resolution

There are two options:

Option 1:

Please take the three(3) certificates from the installation of the previous version in the path /<Agent_installation><previousversion>/bin/security . Then, put them in /<Agent_installation_New version>/bin/security.

 

Option 2:

-Remove the agent from the Client 0

-Restart the agent
