Issue/Introduction

When installing or upgrading a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), it is desired to not have agent install packages installed.

Preventing existing agents from having any possible upgrade performed outside of the desired mechanism.

Using other options like Broadcoms IT Management Suite or SCCM to push the agent upgrade/install

Resolution

Multiple installers are provided in the My Broadcom portal using the following naming format.

Client only installers (No SEPM) - Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.x.x_RUx_All_Clients_EN.zip
Full SEPM install including client packages - Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.x.x_RUx_Full_Installation_EN.exe
SEPM only (No client packages) - Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.x.x_RUx_SEPM_EN.exe

To install a SEPM with no client packages use the installer that matches the bottom format for the desired version.
