AWS load balancer controller for VIP Authentication Hub install

Issue/Introduction

Planning to install VIP Authentication Hub, can an "AWS Load Balancer Controller" be used in place of an ingress-controller?

 

Resolution

As per the documentation, the ingress-controller is still needed, even when planning to use an "AWS Load Balancer Controller" when installing VIP Authentication Hub in an Amazon EKS environment (1).

Note also that the documentation specifically states the minimum of version 1.1.1 of NGINX is required when using an already existing ingress-controller (2).
