Issue/Introduction

The documentation says to allow ports 443 and 161 when configuring this probe.  Am I correct in assuming the ports need to be open from the server where the cohesity_monitor probe is installed then confgured to connect to the cohesity device?  Or the other way around or in both directions?

Environment

  • DX UIM 20.4
  • cohesity_monitor probe v1.03

Cause

  • Guidance

Resolution

Port: specifies the communication port to use to connect to the Cohesity cluster. Default: 443.

- the port needs to be open to and from the robot where the cohesity_monitor probe is deployed.

SNMP enabled: enable or disable the collection of the data for SNMP. Default: disabled.
SNMP port: specifies the SNMP port to connect to the nodes of the Cohesity cluster. Default: 161.

- same direction as above
