Issue/Introduction

We are having issue upgrading a windows agent from 12.3 to 21.8. We have succesffuly upgrade 10+ agents but this one is erroring.

U02000327 Unexpected error on connection '*SERVER' (socket handle = '1'), reason '"category: 'system', (121) The semaphore timeout period has expired"

Environment

Automation Engine '21.0.8+hf.3

Windows Agent version '21.0.8+hf.2

 

Cause

We ran tracecert between the agent and automation engine and we could see on server in the hop taking a longer time for communication.

It was a missing rule on the firewall for the cluster service-ip

Resolution

After updating the firewall the agent is working fine
