Issue/Introduction
Some Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) System event type notification conditions created by a Domain Admin or Limited Admin are not being triggered after upgrading your SEPM version to 14.3 RU2 or newer.
Only notifications created by full System Administrators are triggered.
The System event notification includes the following event types:
– Server activity
– Enforcer activity (N/A)
– Replication failure
– Backup
– System error
Cause
Due to security changes and fixes implemented in SEPM 14.3 RU2, the System event notification is not triggered for replication failure, backup, and system error events if the notification condition is created by a Domain Admin or Limited Admin.
All other notifications work as expected.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in 14.3 RU9, Reference: SEPM Backup failure notification is no longer sent after upgrade to 14.3 RU7 or later
