Hardware requirements for CA Access Gateway (SPS)

Issue/Introduction

Planning to implement 2 CA Access Gateway (SPS), how to know the hardware requirements to accept the load of 0,6 login requests per second, which is 0,3 login requests per second on each Access Gateway?

 

Resolution

As per documentation, the hardware requirement is well defined (1):

    CPU: x64
    Memory: 2-GB system RAM.
    Available disk space:
    2-GB free disk space in the installation location.
    .5-GB free disk space in the temporary location.

    UNIX operating environment requirements
    Access Gateway operating on UNIX operating environments require the following hardware:

    CPU:
    Red Hat operating environment: x64
    Memory: 2-GB system RAM.
    Available disk space:
        2-GB free disk space in the installation location.
        .5-GB free disk space in /temp.

Benchmark the environment before putting it into the Production.

By stressing the environment with specific business needs, some tuning needs will appear, as presented in the documentation (2)(3).
