The Messaging Gateway WebPulse Customer-specific URL Category feature is not consistently resolving URLs to their categories, or is not able to resolve URL categories at all resulting in "Unknown", even though the WebPulse API domains have been allowed for port 80 and 443 communications on the firewall.
This issue can be caused by corruption to the local WebPulse database cache.
If the local WebPulse cache database has corruption, the issue can be resolved by resetting the database with the following command:
delete avrules
Important Note: the "delete avrules" command will reset malware rules as well as the WebPulse cache. The malware rules will update once LiveUpdate has run successfully and downloaded the latest rules. The WebPulse database, which is about 2 GB in size, will download again once a URL is processed.
