Issue/Introduction
XCOMT0416E ERROR WRITING OUTPUT FILE ERROR #45 when sending to XCOM for HP Nonstop. How to resolve this error.
Environment
XCOM™ Data Transport® for HP NonStop
XCOM™ Data Transport® for z/OS
XCOM™ Data Transport® for Windows
XCOM™ Data Transport® for UNIX/Linux PC
Cause
Error XCOMT0416E indicates that the default space allocated for the file on HP Nonstop is too small.
Resolution
Override this by specifying the SPACE parameter on the sending side. For example, on z/OS, specify
SPACE=(BLK,(xx,yy,zz))
xx is the Primary allocation yy is the secondary
zz is the total MAXEXTENTS NOTE: TRK or CYL can be specified instead of BLK
For example on Linux use PRIMARY_ALLOC=xx SECONDARY_ALLOC=yy NUM_OF_DIR_BLOCKS=zz
On the HP Nonstop side, specify DEALLOC_EXTENTS=YES in the XCOMCONF File to deallocate all unused extents past the end of the file. A format 2 file is required. Please see the XCOM HP Nonstop User Guide, page 102
