Resolution

Patch Management Solution provides application updates to the Defender engine and platform, but not definitions.  Once each month when you update the engine, you get the latest definitions because Microsoft bundles them together.  Definition updates are released more frequently by Microsoft and therefore you should probably update the definitions using that method and not wait for each month.
