Receive Order for Endevor failing with IEC032I E37-04 errors on the SMPPTS and SMPPTS1 data sets

Issue/Introduction

Trying to Receive the Endevor maintenance using a Receive Order job and it is failing with the following errors:

Resolution

The SMPPTS and SMPPTS1 need to be reallocated larger.

1)   Rename the existing SMPPTS and SMPPTS1 datasets with  a .OLD  suffix

2)   Allocate a new SMPPTS dataset as a PDSE  with a 1000 cylinders primary and 500 cylinders secondary:

Organization  . . . : PO     
Record format . . . : FB    
Record length . . . : 80     
Block size  . . . . : 27920  
1st extent cylinders: 1000   
Secondary cylinders : 500    
Data set name type  : LIBRARY

3)  Allocate a new SMPPTS1 dataset as a PDSE with 500 cylinders primary and 500 cylinders secondary:

Organization  . . . : PO      
Record format . . . : FB       
Record length . . . : 80       
Block size  . . . . : 27920   
1st extent cylinders: 500      
Secondary cylinders : 500     
Data set name type  : LIBRARY  

 

4)  Copy the PTFs that were successfully Received in the original SMPPTS and SMPPTS1 datasets (now renamed with the .OLD suffix) to the new SMPPTS.  

•  Put all the PTFs from both files in the new SMPPTS file.

 

5)  Rerun the Receive Order job. 

        The job will skip over the PTFs that were successfully Received the first time and just Receive the missing ones.

 

6)  Before running the APPLY job, need to increase the size of the SMPWRKx files as well.  Suggest -

7)  After the Receive and Apply have successfully completed, delete the .OLD SMPPTS and SMPPTS1 datasets.
