Issue/Introduction

Users time zone preferences not being honored during the Approval Checkout Request.

Users sets preferences in PAM to an EST time zone

Checkouts are now requested using the EST time zone

At some point, when the user goes to request access, the time zone is suddenly changed to UTC.

If the user goes back into their preferences and hits OK again, it will revert the time zone back to EST on the checkout then.

PAM 4.1.5/4.1.7

Cause

For performance reasons a large amount of configuration data was cached and shared among multiple users.  This data contained both global information and some information, particularly time zone, which could vary from user to user.  But when this cache was refreshed only one user’s time zone information was kept.

Resolution

The problem will be fixed in the upcoming 4.1.8 and 4.2 releases.
