Issue/Introduction

Message: ESP6089E RACROUTE REQUEST=STAT CALL FOR CLASS $ESP FAILED. RC=00000004-00000008/00000000 issued on ESP startup.

Environment

ESP Workload Automation 12.0

Cause

ESP incorrectly pads the security class parameter defined in SAFCLASS statement with binary zeroes instead of blanks.

This can cause erroneous behavior with RACROUTE calls  if the security class has less than 7 characters.

Resolution

Use a security class with an 8 character name

If security class name less than 7 characters is maintained:

• Apply PTF LU12573
• Turn on USERMOD 202
