Issue/Introduction

Automation for testing the Web Viewer encountered the issue where the X-UA-compatible meta tag is missing. The automation relies on the X-UA compatibility meta tag, and automation testing is done on IE 11. We verified this is not an issue in the current build 237. Is this a known limitation?
I suspect we need to update our automation to work with the newer browsers.  I just wanted confirmation from Broadcom.

Cause

Starting with the CSP Build (238) of Web Viewer, Internet Explorer is no longer supported by the application. Regardless of the particular issues encountered, the test setup is really no longer valid. It is more likely that the IE-incompatible changes are what is causing the issues in running testing with IE against the Builds (238 and later) of 12.1 Web Viewer.

Resolution

Use the supported modern browsers (Chrome and/or Edge) for automated testing of 12.1 Web Viewer Build 238 and later.
