Created a main service offering that contains one service offering group, which in turn has two sub service offerings. The idea is to have a single PAM based event fire for each of the two service offerings. Did define a rule for each of the two service offerings in the "Request/Subscription Item Create" which should fire off the PAM process. Seeing just one PAM process for the first service offering, but not the second service offering
Release 17.3 or higher
CA Service Catalog
Both service options are meant to invoke the PAM process, but when both options are used at the same time, the second option does not receive the expected status at request level. As a result, the PAM process is not invoked under "Request Subscription Item Create" for the second service option.
Solution 1:
===========
Create two different services and each has only one service option. In that cases, PAM process invoked under “Request Subscription Item Create”.
Solution 2:
==========
Enable discrete approval to invoke PAM process flow for each of the service option
Move related Rule and Action from "Request/Subscription Item Create" to "Request/Subscription Item Change"
The event filter should read as
external_id = 'XXXX' AND rate_item_col = 0 AND status_old = 999 AND status = 2000
Substitute "XXXX' for the name of the form that is associated with each sub offering.
The previous rules under "Request/Subscription Item Create" should be disabled.
