Redis Sentinel is supported on Gateway 11.0 ?

Issue/Introduction

We had implemented RemoteCache assertion version 1.5.3 to store key-values into Redis Cluster as you mentioned it does not support Redis Sentinel at that time.

This solution is live in production.

Now, we are planning to implement DR region and before we implement Multi Region Redis Cluster, we would like to understand if Redis Sentinel support is available.

Resolution

The Key Value Storage assertion(s) that are currently available as experimental and that will soon be available as preview in 11.1 are different from the Tactical RemoteCache assertion(s).

 

The Tactical RemoteCache assertion(s) support OSS Redis standalone and cluster, not Sentinel.

There are currently no plans to add Redis Sentinel support to the Tactical RemoteCache assertion, or to make any other enhancements to them.

 

The Key Value Storage assertion(s) support OSS Redis standalone, Sentinel and soon enterprise Redis. We might add OSS Redis cluster support in the future.

These assertions will not be Tactical assertions, but rather will be standard assertions available out-of-the-box to all customers going forward.

 Our priority will be to enhance these assertions, and as a possible long term replacement for the Tactical RemoteCache assertion.
