The "Search" field and icon looks untidy when using MS Edge or Chrome browser version 123.x

Issue/Introduction

When using MS Edge or Chrome (version 123.x) browsers the "Search" fields look untidy on the SMP Console as shown below:

Environment

ITMS 8.7.1

Cause

Known issue. A "styles" change was needed to work with new browser versions.

Resolution

This issue was fixed in the ITMS 8.7.2 release as documented in the Release Notes - Fixed Issues under the section "Fixed issues for Software Management Solution:

Software Portal UI is misaligned with the latest Chromium based browsers.

Workaround:

Two fixed files (attached) which must be uploaded on your existing ITMS 8.x servers (this change doesn't require any services restart, just refresh browser SMP Console page).

Steps to apply fixed "consoleSearch.css" and "Header.aspx" files:

1. Open "[installdrive]:\Program Files\Altiris\CustomConsole\Web\" on SMP Server and rename there "consoleSearch.css" and "Header.aspx" files:

2. Download attached "consoleSearch.css" and "Header.aspx" files and put them in same directory "[installdrive]:\Program Files\Altiris\CustomConsole\Web\"

3. Refresh the SMP Console page in browser
