Issue/Introduction

We are missing interfaces on certain VM’s in Spectrum using SysEdge VMware plugin.

Environment

SysEdge VMware plugin with Spectrum

Cause

This is the expected behavior: VMs will not show interfaces unless they have the systemedge agent installed. The systemEdge core agent will pick up the IFtable from mib2 of the device it is on but systemEdge with vCaim on the esx will not pick up the iftables of the vms that live on it.

Resolution

It is required to install the systemEdge agent on any VMs that you want to see the interfaces.
