Issue/Introduction
I have upgraded my UIM Server to UIM 23.4.0 but have not yet upgraded my secondary/remote hubs and robots.
New robots I deploy and/or new metrics I enable for monitoring are not being added to the Operator Console inventory.
I am seeing the following error in my discovery_server log repeatedly:
ERROR com.nimsoft.discovery.server.nimbus.scan.RobotUpdateOrganizer - !!!HubRobotInfo Queue size growing rapdily. Defering new hub changes
Environment
UIM 23.4.0 with secondary hubs on 9.x or prior
Cause
This issue is seen in environments with a large number of older (9.x or prior) hubs and is related to a limitation of discovery_server.
Resolution
This limitation has been removed in UIM 23.4.1 and this error should no longer occur.
However, this issue only occurs when there are a large number of older hubs/robots in the environment which are being scanned by the legacy nimbusscan process.
Upgrading the secondary hubs and robots to 23.4+ and enabling the ROBOT_NIS_CACHE queue is enabled, this will also resolve the issue.
