Required XCOMGLOB dataset RACF UACC level authority

Issue/Introduction

Experiencing RACF error ("INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY") for all XCOMGLOB datasets when running batch jobs utilizing XCOM. 

These batch job userids all have  'ACCESS INTENT(UPDATE) ACCESS ALLOWED(READ)' 

Based on the doc. page XCOMJOB DD Statements for XCOMGLOB, does it mean the UACC for the XCOMGLOB dataset needs to be set to 'ACCESS INTENT(UPDATE) ACCESS ALLOWED(ALTER)' for all batch jobs(userids) using this DD statement?

Resolution

If the XCOMGLOB DD statement is set then that dataset is used to stored the transfer request number of a TYPE=EXECUTE transfer and therefore update access (RACF UACC level 'ALTER') is required for it.
