Issue/Introduction

After installing XCOM on a new LPAR and then bringing up the server for the first time, the following messages were displayed:

Environment

XCOM™ Data Transport® for z/OS

Cause

TCP/IP components use OpenEdition.

Resolution

To use these components requires that the XCOM STC have an OpenEdition (OMVS) userid and group defined.
