Issue/Introduction

SUMMARY:  When converting an idea using a process workflow which also calls a sub process to copy tasks and project sub object instances from the template, the tasks copy but not the instances from the sub object which are on the template.

STR:

1)  In MUX have a project template that has a project sub object module

    - does not need team or to be financially enabled

    - the sub object needs to be added to the blueprint for the project template

- Make sure you have some instances created for the sub object on the template so they can copy

2)  Create 2 processes  (Process 1 will be sub process for process 2)

    Process 1

Object = Project

Template = template from step 1

Start option = On Demand

    Start Step Actions to Copy WBS

Validate and activate this one so you can add it to process 2

    Process 2

Object = Idea

Start option = On Demand

Start Step Action = System Action

   - Convert Idea to Project

     Copy Team = yes

Copy Financial Properties and Financial Plans = yes

Create a second step for this first ste to go to

      This step will be to call the sub process

    - Actions = subprocess that you created for Process 1

Set this step to go to Finish

Add this step to the 'go to next step' for the start step

Once all are done Validate and Activate

3)  Add your process to the Idea blueprint actions

4) Make sure your idea is using the blueprint

5) Go to the idea and run the process

   - wait for the process to complete before you check the related project

     - you can open the idea in classic and monitor the process (or in organizer)

Expected Results: All Tasks in the WBS as well as sub object instances get copied into the new investment created from the template.

Actual Results: Sub object instances do not copy.

Workaround: None.

Cause

Reported as  DE80001

Resolution

DE80001 was reviewed and determined that this is currently a product limitation.  The process cannot copy instances of a sub object.
