postgresSQL TCP/IP Connection Failed

Issue/Introduction

When trying to integrate JasperReports with SDM using a postgres database for jasper, the following error appears:

postgresSQL TCP/IP Connection Failed, provide correct Hostname, DB Name, Port & login credentials.

Environment

JaspeReports Server 8.1.1

SDM 17.x

Cause

The IP address set in the hostname is not correct

Resolution

Review the context.xml located in Jaspersoft\jasperreports-server-xxx\apache-tomcat\webapps\jasperserver-pro\META-INF\context.xml to find the postgres database details.

With the information above, enter the correct information in the integration wizard and click on next to continue.
