Manually adding missing schema attributes

Issue/Introduction

Fields were added via Web Screen Painter in 17.+ RU14. It was verified the new fields were present after the upgrade to CA SDM 17.4,  but are not updating properly when users edit the added fields. Upon review, we noticed that the new fields added before the upgrade are missing. Can we manually add them back?

Resolution

Implement the following in a Test environment or incorporate the changes during your maintenance windows.

Locate the following WSP files in <$NX_ROOT$/site/mods>
            wsp_index.sch
            wsp_schema.log   
            wsp_schema.sch

Validate if the above WSP files date match up with the old ddict.sch version that was backed up before the upgrade.

Take a backup of your current ddict.sch schema file before editing and then manually edit and add the missing fields and their attributes using the old ddict.sch as your source, you can use any standard text editor to edit the .sch file.
Verify the missing attributes are successfully added and saved. Test and validate its functionality to your satisfaction.
