After the EAS task encountered a problem that caused it to issue a S214 abend, the EAS task then began producing recursive S200 abend dumps, which caused our JES2 spool volumes to fill up. How can we prevent the EAS task from producing recursive S200 dumps after a tape close problem is encountered.
View 14.0 PTF LU11272 was created to avoid issuing S200 abends repeatedly when SAREAS abends at the time of closing a tape dataset (S214).

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The SAREAS task started issuing S200 abend repetitively when an abend occurs while closing tape dataset and this made SAREAS to consume
most of the spool volumes at customer sites.
Initially SAREAS issue S214 abend at the time of closing tape dataset failure and then S200 abend repetitively.
Tape dataset closing failure is not a usual thing to happen, This might occur due to system default.
SYMPTOMS:
SAREAS issued S200 abend repetitively and spool ended up with 100% full.
IMPACT:
End user could not able to log onto the LPAR and can't be able to do any action on that affected LPAR.
CIRCUMVENTION:
Shutdown SAREAS task and use SARBCH - LOAD control statement (or) LOAD online command for time being.
