Spectrum upgrade from 23.3.4 to 23.3.5 is failing with the following error in the preinst log file:
** Error: Unable to interpret installation command
Install-Tools/preinst_engine: line 273: cd: HOME not set
Installation Exiting: Wed Mar 13 10:30:21 CDT 2024
cat: .timing: No such file or directory
Environment Issue
That missing file was the issue. /opt/Spectrum/UI-CONFIG.<hostname>
Because it was a directory and not a file, that was causing the core dump.
[root@host linux]# ./distinst from_file=MLS_Params.txt
