Error "Unable to update the connection information for this dynamic device" on connecting to an AWS device from PAM

Issue/Introduction

Trying to access an AWS-provisioned device in PAM results in the following error

Unable to update the connection information for this dynamic device. Please contact your System Administrator

However the device is correctly configured and it exists in AWS

Environment

CA PAM all known versions

Cause

This may happen if the AWS device defined in PAM which is being accessed from PAM is switched off

Resolution

Verify the device is up & running and power it on in case it is not
