Issue/Introduction

The following error appears when trying to install Service Management:

Common administration framework (CAF) uninstallation failed

install.log shows:

ERROR [DeployThread: Installing Service Management Administration] [CommonProcessUtilities] Cannot run program ""<local drive>\Service Management Administration\Uninstall_CA Service Management Administration\Uninstall CA Service Management Administration.exe"": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified

Environment

Service Management 17.4

Cause

Previous installation references wrong path and versions

Resolution

1. Backup <local drive>\Program Files\Zero G Registry\.com.zerog.registry.xml to desktop or temp folder.

2. Remove .com.zerog.registry.xml from the <local drive>\Program Files\Zero G Registry\ location

3. Restart Server

4. Start the installation.
