UIM robot obtaining weird IP address 169.x.x.x

Issue/Introduction

You notice that the UIM robot registers with the wrong IP address in the Infrastructure manager ( 169.x.x.x) .

Environment

DX UIM 20.4.x / 23.4.x 

Cause

The 169.x.x.x IP addresses are automatically set by the Windows system when it cannot obtain the DHCP IP address. 

Potential problems with DHCP server connectivity

 

Resolution

Please assign a static IP address (configure a static IP address on the primary hub itself and disable DHCP) then restart the HUB server or resolve the connectivity problems with the DHCP server
