USER getting SECU016E COMMAND NOT AUTHORIZED FOR JOBNAME xxxxxxxx after upgrade to 17.0

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to 17.0, an enduser reports error SECU016E COMMAND NOT AUTHORIZED FOR JOBNAME xxxxxxxx when issuing the IMSALERTS command.   We are not using an external security exit, and we have verified that the USER has "A" authority to command IMSALERTS.

SYSVIEW, all releases

Resolution

In addition to granting "A" authority to the USERID for the command, the JOBNAME also needed the PRIVATE REGION set to "A " authority.  

To do this, follow path: 

SECURITY

Select the User Group the ID belongs to

Select Jobnames

Change the authority of Private Region info to A  

PF3 out of the Security section to update the SYSVIEW security file.

Ask the affected user to log out of SYSVIEW and then back in, in order to pick up the change.
