How can I monitor the Cloud proxy with an Agent?
You can monitor Cloud proxy with Agent token, please see:
You can monitor the health of a Cloud Proxy using the connection metrics. To generate the metrics, set a valid agent token value for the apm.server.token configuration parameter. This section also contains the details related to sustainability metrics reported from Cloud Proxy.
Configure a name for the Cloud Proxy metrics using the apm.server.id configuration parameter. This name is displayed in the metric tree. If you do not configure the value for apm.server.id, Cloud Proxy detects the machine hostname (IP address) and displays it in the metric tree.
Make sure to have using the latest release of Cloud proxy, any other than 24.1.1.21 will not work.
apm.server.id setting is NOT optional, you must configure it in order to have the metrics displaying it in the metric tree.
We will work to adjust the documentation regarding apm.server.id
