Issue/Introduction

We have noticed several times during our companies announced security network scans that they are crashing the Spectrum processd process.

This results with the SpectroSERVER being brought down, until someone can manually restart processd and then restore the SpectroSERVER database.

Environment

Spectrum 22.2.x / 23.3.x

Cause

Security Scans with empty remote address

Resolution

Fixed out of box in Spectrum 23.3.7.

Symptom: The processd daemon crashes when the remote address is found to be empty during network scans.
Resolution: With this fix, Spectrum identifies and fixes the code changes to ensure that the processd daemon no longer crashes when the remote address is detected as empty during network scans. (DE590823, 23.3.7)
