Issue/Introduction

Error code 4e01Message is encountered and OTPs are not sent to the expected phone numbers.

Cause

You tried to send a message, but the phone number was either not valid or improperly formatted. The error logged in the VIP indicates that the phone number is invalid.

The 'To' number in a format such as ###-###-### (3 digits instead of 4) is not a valid phone number.

Resolution

Ensure that your phone numbers are formatted according to the E164 standard: [+][country code][subscriber number including area code]. Also, make sure you've used the appropriate country calling code for the number you're dialing.

This will help ensure successful message delivery.
