Issue/Introduction

During an attempt to install PAM Orchestrator, invoking Domain_Installer_Windows.bat results in an error with "C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Temp/caitpam/Third_Party_Installer_windows.exe" , that the given resource could not be found

Environment

Release 4.3 or higher

CA IT Process Automation

Cause

The Domain_Installer_Windows.bat script will first try to copy the Third_Party_Installer_windows.exe file into %temp%/caitpam.  If the Third_Party_Installer_windows.exe fails to copy into the temp folder location specified, then the install attempt will fail

Resolution

Please check if there is a reason why the Third_Party_Installer_windows.exe is not being written. This is usually due to something on the server itself as the Domain_Installer_Windows.bat script uses basic OS commands.  Reasons why this may arise are often due to security or resource related issues.

In some cases UAC may need to be disabled, there may be a security product such as F_Secure present which is blocking the copy.  There may also be space issues with the C Drive itself.

Additionally, the entire DVD ISO file contents may need to be written to a local drive as Windows may prohibit execution of commands from a mounted ISO location.
