Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to setup a bundled Apache Tomcat install directory on a shared location instead of setting up on every server and then redeploy the services on all nodes?

Resolution

• Unfortunately it is not possible to use a shared Tomcat location.
• You have to have an Apache Tomcat install on each Clarity server.
• This folder is then used during service startup, stop and deployment.
• If the goal is to keep Apache Tomcat up to date, you can set a process up to add the latest Tomcat to your monthly patching cycle.
