Issue/Introduction

Following the installation of Messaging Gateway (SMG) to Alibaba Cloud, the SMG system cannot be upgraded.

Messaging Gateway
Alibaba Cloud

Cause

Alibaba cloud is not currently listed as a supported platform and the upgrade platform check is failing.

Resolution

Currently Alibaba is an unsupported virtual infrastructure platform for Messaging Gateway.

Workaround

The upgrade hardware platform check may be bypassed by updating from the command line with the --force option. This may result in a successful upgrade but Broadcom Support cannot guarantee the operation or upgrade on unsupported platforms.
