After downgrading robot to version 9.33, the old version is reported by the Windows OS.

Issue/Introduction

When downgrading to robot 9.33 from a higher version, the Windows Operating System reports the previous version is still installed.  IM, AC, and robot logs report the correct version.

Environment

robot_update 9.33 and below

Cause

When a robot_update package up through 9.33 is deployed to a robot, the version key is not updated in the registry.  The Windows OS reports the version that is listed here if it exists.  Robot_update 9.34+ updates this field.

Resolution

Upgrade to Robot 9.34+.

If this is not possible and the correct version is required, the registry key can be manually edited so that the proper version is displayed.

Additional Information

Please note that robot 9.33 was released as part of UIM 20.3.3 which is currently unsupported.  Robot 9.34 was released with UIM 20.4 which is currently supported.

We highly suggest that you upgrade your robots to these newer releases.
