Issue/Introduction

Sometimes the following types of entries may show up in the xcom.log.

TID= < ?? > < ? > < ? >

TID= < ?? > < ? > < ? >

Environment

XCOM™ Data Transport® for Windows
XCOM™ Data Transport® for UNIX/Linux PC

Cause

XCOM Data transport will write these entries to the log when a transfer is starting, and the details of the transfer are not available.

This happens in cases where:

  • The queue is full. This can happen when there are network problems and the queue grows much larger than normal because transfers cannot be completed successfully or the number of transfers has grown so the queue is no longer large enough.

  • There is corruption in the queue.

Resolution

See XCOM Queue and Maintenance to resolve these problems.
