Does Datacom Server have a Shadow option?

Issue/Introduction

We run a primary and shadow Datacom/AD MUF on two separate LPARs. In order to run a 24 hour shop, we move the CA7, CA11, Datacom Server , and the Datacom/AD MUF is switched. Is there some option or suggestion on how we have the server follow the MUF during a move/switch? Does a shadow option exist for Datacom Server?

Resolution

A server shadow does not exist and having two server's active at the same time would also not be the answer as each server has to be unique. The server needs MUF to be up, or else, server will not come up. Unless you can have your application dynamically switch and point from server 1 to server 2 when bringing down your system, but we, Broadcom, would not have any control of that. If this is allowed, this process might be more complex rather than implementing automation.

The automation path takes a more straight forward approach of bringing up server on the other region was MUF is available and ready for processing

When moving server's to the other LPAR, you need to include some Datacom Server start up options
