Issue/Introduction
If we want to use the SOAP web services, which protocol is better, Axis or CXF?
Environment
Service Desk Manager v17.3 RU18 and up
Resolution
If your Service Desk version is 17.3 RU18 or higher, we recommend you use the CXF Web Services instead of the Axis-based web services. Axis-based web services are older technology and less secure, and support for Axis will be dropped by June 30, 2025.
