Filter out devices from the "Current Assets" Report in CABI

Issue/Introduction

When running the Current Assets: All Devices report, I see all of the Assets. However, I need to filter out all Pingable and Access Point models. Is there a way to filter out specific models from this report?

Environment

Version: Any
Component: Spectrum Report Manager SRM/CABI

Cause

Unfortunately, the out of the box reports and Input Controls cannot be modified in such a way.

Resolution

What you can do is create a Global Collection with all of the device models EXCEPT  the Access Points and Pingable models.

Then, you can run the Assets -> Group -> Current Assets: Group report. In the Input Controls of the report, set "Select Group Type" to "User Defined group" and in the "Select Group Name" field choose your new Global Collection.

Additional Information

You may need to wait about a day after creating your new Global Collection before it may appear on the list.
