Issue/Introduction

Batch RESTORE of a NON VSAM dataset gets the following error:

ADSFH026 2132 SB37-04 ABEND OCCURRED PROCESSING VOLUME=vvvvvv, DSNAME=dsname1
ADSFH067*0540 EXCP PROCESSING ERROR, RESULT = 0020
ADSDM077*0450 dsname1                            WAS NOT RESTORED DUE TO PREVIOUS ERROR(S)

Resolution

This error usually occurs if the SMS DC (Data Class) associated with this dataset is defined with :   

DYNAMIC VOLUME COUNT = 1

(this doesn't allow to allocate a multivolume ) . 

In this case it is strongly suggested to exec a Disk RESTORE to a pre-allocated multi-volume data set with sysparm PREALLOC set to Y.
