Issue/Introduction

Upgrading from 14.4 to 14.5. Installing Provisioning Manager.

Run /myidm/CA_Installer/Provisioning/ProvisioningDirectory/Linux/setuplinux.bin

This returns:

"ERROR: The Identity Manager Provisioning Directory install folder does not have read and execute permissions for all users set recursively fail. Correct the permissions in /myidm/CA_Installer and try again"

Environment

Release : 14.5
Component : CA Identity Manager

Cause

run:

ls-ld
You will see dsa:etrdir

ie., dsa etrdir <date> /myidm/CA_Installer/Provisioning/ProvisioningDirectory/

The installer folder should be owned by "root:root" not "dsa:etrdir".

Resolution

When the installer is unpacked by the "root" user, the install will complete in subfolders and parent folders.
