Issue/Introduction

When sending UNIX files with  Connect:Direct the following message is issued:

ICH420I PROGRAM TMSF2COM FROM LIBRARY SYS1.CA1.CTAPLINK CAUSED THE ENVIRONMENT TO BECOME UNCONTROLLED.
BPXP014I ENVIRONMENT MUST BE CONTROLLED FOR SERVER (BPX.SERVER) PROCESSING.

Why does Connect:Direct call TMSF2COM?

 

Resolution

Since SYS1.CA1.CTAPLINK is already APF authorized and in the link-list; it would be a trusted library,  IBM now requires it be a "clean" library as well. That means, it needs to be added to the PROGRAM class as an authorized library. Have the RACF ADMIN issue the following command:

 

RALTER PROGRAM ** ADDMEM(‘SYS1.CA1.CTAPLINK’//NOPADCHK)

And then issue 

 

SETROPTS WHEN(PROGRAM) REFRESH

 

This will make the SYS1.CA1.CTAPLINK a "clean" library in addition to being an APF authorized library and a link-list library.
