Issue/Introduction

During the AdminUI Upgrade the below error is encountered.

Upgrade is not supported when previous version is installed on this application
server

You cannot upgrade the Administrative UI on this application server.
Uninstall the existing UI and do a new installation.

Environment

Siteminder AdminUI 12.8.x

Resolution

Take backup of these files with different name and extension so that it is not detected and then delete them.

• Remove the following registry files:

/export/home/smuser/.Admin_UI_Prerequisite_Registry.registry
/export/home/smuser/.CA_IAM_FW.registry
/export/home/smuser/.com.zerog.registry.xml

•  Attempt to re-install AdminUI would be successful.
