Issue/Introduction

Importing settings from one VIP Enterprise Gateway to another fails with error: Cannot import this configuration settings file.The file is either corrupt or empty.

 

Cause

The import file is not compatible with the target VIP Enterprise Gateway. 

Resolution

• The VIP Enterprise Gateway servers must be using a certificate from the same VIP Jurisdiction Hash
  configuration settings.
• The VIP Enterprise Gateway source and target servers must be of the same platform type (Windows or Linux). 
• You can import settings from VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.8.4 and higher into VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.9 or higher.
• You can import settings from VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.8.3 and earlier into VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.9.0 or earlier.
