Issue/Introduction

Recently, an OPS/MVS Parm for AOFTESTALLOWPROD either appears to be implemented or the value changed from "YES" to "NO". 

 

Can you please help me identify if the PTF LU12196 or any prereqs we'd installed has changed it?

Resolution

PTF LU12196 has a prereq of PTF LU08339 which introduced the AOFTESTALLOWPROD parm with a default value of "NO". The comments from LU08339 follow:

ENHANCEMENT DESCRIPTION:                                                     
                                                                             
The OPSVIEW 2.1 AOF Test environment allows production rules and rulesets    
to be Enabled, Autoenabled, Disabled and Reset without security checks.      
Potentially, users may alter the enabled or autoenabled status of production 
rules inadvertently.                                                         
                                                                             
The AOFTESTALLOWPROD OPS/MVS parameter now controls access to production rule
and rulesets from the AOF Test environment.                                  
                                                                             
AOFTESTALLOWPROD defaults to NO which prevents production rules from being   
modified in the AOF Test environment. Specifying YES allows the use of       
production rulesets.
